Fentrice Driskell for State Senate
Join the movement fighting for every Floridian's freedom to be healthy, prosperous, and safe.
Fentrice Driskell, Democratic Leader of the Florida House, is a Tampa Bay native, community leader, and dedicated advocate for every Floridian’s freedom to be healthy, prosperous, and safe.
Raised in Polk County, Fentrice learned the value of hard work and public service from her parents. Her father rose from warehouse stocker to dispatcher, and her mother, a longtime public school teacher, instilled in her the importance of education. Inspired by their example, Fentrice excelled academically and became a leader early in life.
Her passion for service began in high school through Florida Girls State and continued at Harvard University, where she became the first Black student elected president of the student government. After earning her law degree from Georgetown University, Fentrice returned to the Tampa Bay area to serve her community as a business litigator and active volunteer.
In 2018, Fentrice was elected to the Florida House of Representatives, where she has built a reputation as a thoughtful consensus builder and effective advocate. Now representing District 67, she has championed efforts to expand access to health care, invest in public education, protect voting rights, promote common sense gun reform, and safeguard Florida’s environment.
As the Florida House Democratic Leader, Fentrice is working to build a stronger, more inclusive Florida, where working families can thrive, communities are safe, and opportunity is within reach for all.
